“ This is my favorite breakfast restaurants of all time and one of my favorite restaurants in general (regardless of genre), which is crazy coming from me because I don't even like breakfast. However, the pancakes here are TO DIE FOR. the only annoying thing about this place is you need a reservation, which is only possible to get on a weekday and you have to book it weeks, if not months, in advance. However, one hack is that there are always dinner reservations available and it's the same menu. So if you're into breakfast for dinner, I'd go with that strategy. ”
“ Bubby's NY is a solid neighborhood spot. I stopped by early for breakfast on a Sunday and had a 10min wait. Space was lively! The food was good, and the staff had great energy and were friendly & friendly. I'd definitely go again, but I wouldn't want to wait more than 15 minutes. A nice option if you're nearby. ”
“ Came here for lunch on a weekday with a friend and was given the option of waiting 20 minutes for a table or immediate seating at the bar. We opted for the bar since we were in a bit of a time crunch. The service was attentive and our favorite was the pancake sampler! Especially the Nutella berry ones. I personally thought they really lived up to the hype and was so glad to finally try them. Some people next to us had ordered some of the lunch items which also looked really good! ”
“ Food and service is great. I will definitely come back. The only inconveniente is that is always Booked. Hard to make reserations. It took me 1 month to get a spot for a Monday. Ambiance good. Busy place ”
“ AMAZING. I've been here sooo many times and always had the best service. They serve food so fast and the waiting time goes by quickly. Never waited more than 30 mins for a table. Pancakes are a no brainer but the bubbys breakfast is also rlly good. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu tbh. Always great vibes the waiters are awesome. ”
“ We went on a Sunday - so a long wait was expected! We waited maybe around 30-40 minutes to get inside. What i can appreciate about this establishment is they have system to how to get people in and out. It's very efficient. We sat down, tables were a little close. I could hear everyone's convo if i wanted (maybe a good place for some people watching). Our waiter came to the table within 5 minutes of us sitting down. We ordered and no lie within 15 minutes tops our food was OUT. Everything was 10/10. Our freshly made juices - top tier. You know sometimes those places that get too much hype are overrated? This was not the case. I would come here again, perfect way to start your day in the city. ”
“ Ate here last week for brunch. We were a party of 2 with no reservation and it took us maybe 20ish minutes to be seated. They start the line inside, along both sides of the wall. The staff is really adamant about the line staying tight and came by instructing us to move up several times even when we were already pretty close. The restaurant is surprisingly large, but the tables are packed in to the point where you're damn near on top of each other. The closeness combined with the music (which was good!) meant I quite literally could not hear my partner speaking to me across the table. My partner got the "James Beard" pancakes they're most widely known for, along with a side of eggs. I got the sourdough pancakes with fried chicken. We tasted each other's pancakes but each preferred our own - the original pancakes were wayyyyy too thick and doughy for me and she said the sourdough were too tart for her. Though I loved the sourdough pancakes: thin, moist, and perfectly tangy - the real star of the meal was the fried chicken! To be honest, as a southern gal, qI didn't expect much out of it. They give you a nice portion, a drum, a thigh, a breast and a wing. It was perfectly fried (more of a chewy than a crunch) and the 24-hour brine really did its thing making the chicken juicy. I usually HATE chicken breasts but this one was so moist I couldn't leave it. I'd definitely come back, but things I didn't like: - A side of eggs was $10 (CRAZY) - I got caramelized bananas for my pancakes and they absolutely were NOT caramelized. They looked like fried plantain. - Being bumped frequently bc the tables are so freaking close. ”
“ This review is specifically for their Thanksgiving meal. Overall I think this is a solid option if you're looking for somewhere to dine on Thanksgiving day. Make sure to book pretty far in advance though, as reservations fill up FAST. I think I booked mine over a month prior and it was one of the last available. Restaurant has a nice cozy feel to it and is actually quite large. You can definitely roll in wearing your sweatpants! Thanksgiving dining time is 90 minutes, which was actually plenty of time since all the food is precooked, it comes out fast. Nothing blew me away, but if you're looking for a traditional laid back holiday meal, this is the place to come. Service was friendly as well and we didn't feel rushed. ”
“ This is a whole vibe ! Decided to come For breakfast and so glad I did. There was a bit of a wait even with reservations but it was worth it. I love the music selection and ambiance is chill and hip. Tyler the creator ( rapper) was also there having breakfast so that was super cool as well. The staff is super cool and provided great service even as packed as it was . The food was wonderful and they have a great selection of hot and cold drinks including alcohol. It was a bit pricey but I'm sure it's because of the celebrities that frequent. ”
